Seamless Reporting

Detailed treatment reports, diagnostic imaging, and clinical notes returned to your office after every visit. Your patient stays in your chart.

Flexible partnership

We fit into your practice — not the other way around

Every optometry practice manages dry eye differently. Some prefer full specialist referral. Others co-manage refractory cases. Others have established dry eye programs and need us only for specific procedures or advanced diagnostics. We work with all of them — and Professional Relations will tailor the arrangement to your workflow.

Full Dry Eye Management

You refer, we manage the entire dry eye journey. Comprehensive assessment, treatment plan, all follow-up visits, and a detailed report at discharge. Ideal for practices that prefer to focus on primary eye care and trust a specialist centre for chronic ocular surface disease.

Collaborative Co-Management

You manage routine dry eye. We handle complex, refractory, or multifactorial cases — then return the patient to your care once stable. Shared clinical notes, coordinated treatment plans, and clear hand-off points.

Procedure-Specific Referral

You run your own dry eye program. You refer for specific treatments — IPL, LipiFlow, probing, hemoderivatives, scleral lenses — and the patient returns to your care immediately after. We’re your procedure room, not a replacement for your clinical judgment.

Most referring practices start with one model and evolve over time. There’s no wrong entry point — and our Professional Relations team is here to find the right fit.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Only if that’s what works for your practice. Many referring doctors prefer we manage the full dry eye journey. Others want the patient back after a specific treatment. We follow your lead — and our Professional Relations team will confirm the arrangement before the first appointment.

Depends on the referral model. For procedure-specific referrals, patients typically return within 1–2 weeks. For co-managed cases, we communicate a clear discharge timeline. For full management, follow-up intervals are typically 6–12 months once stable, and we keep you informed throughout.

Absolutely. Many of our referring practices have established dry eye services. They refer to us specifically for procedures their office doesn’t offer — IPL, LipiFlow, meibomian gland probing, hemoderivatives — and the patient returns to their program immediately after. We consider this a strength, not a conflict.

Every visit generates a detailed clinical report including treatment performed, diagnostic findings, imaging (if applicable), and recommended next steps. Reports are sent the way your office prefers — fax, email, or secure portal. For co-managed patients, we include suggested follow-up timelines and home care recommendations.

Yes. If you have a specific procedure in mind — IPL for MGD, LipiFlow, probing, punctal plugs, hemoderivative therapy — indicate it on the referral and we’ll schedule accordingly. We’ll perform the treatment, send you the results, and the patient returns to your care.

We’ll contact your office before expanding the treatment plan. Nothing happens without your knowledge and agreement. If we identify additional clinical needs during assessment, we’ll document our findings and discuss options with you — never with the patient first.
